What is Indus Library?
Indus library is a place to study Indology. It is a place to study the history, cultures, languages, and literature of the Indian subcontinent. We also keep biographies of people who have selflessly served humanity. This library is free. No subscription is required to join the library. The Library is open for everyone irrespective of their religion, culture, race, age or sex.
We hope this library will allow you to –
1. Study Religious, Cultural & Spiritual literature.
2. Study the history of India.
3. Study about the people who have dedicated their entire lives selflessly for humanity.
What is Indology?
Indology is the study of the history and cultures, languages, and literature of the Indian subcontinent. Specifically, Indology includes the study of Sanskrit literature and Hinduism along with the other Indian religions, Jainism, Buddhism and Pāli literature, and Sikhism.
Why should you study Indology?
From art to architecture and from science to spirituality, there is everything for everyone in Indology. According to one’s own nature and character every person should take what they can from Indology. Study of history, culture and traditions of India develops a sense of pride and patriotism. Study of different scriptures will help you grow spiritually. Study of literature can improve your creativity. Study of various ancient shastra’s can make you an expert. It doesn’t matter if you are theist or atheist, young or old, study of Indology will elevate your life for sure.
Indus Library was started on March 8, 2015 on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti and International Woman’s Day, with an aim and vision to expose and spread this rich knowledge with everyone, especially with the young generation for obvious reasons.

Note that books are not allowed to take home, But we do have a reading hall facility with all the basic necessities for your comfort.
